The Heihe River is the second largest inland river in China, originating from Beilong in the Qilian Mountains and flowing through three provinces and regions of Qinghai, Gansu, and Inner Mongolia. The total basin area is 112900 square kilometers, and the main stream of the Heihe River has a total length of 928 kilometers.

The Sandaowan Hydropower Station is located in the middle section of the upper reaches of the Heihe River in Sunan County and Qilian County, Gansu Province, at the northern foot of the Qilian Mountains. The total installed capacity is 112MW, with an average annual power generation of 403.3 million KWh. The storage capacity of the Sandaowan Hydropower Station is very small, with only daily regulated storage capacity.

Site installation

In April, our micro and special friends visited the Sandaowan Hydropower Station in Zhangye Hexi, Gansu at an altitude of 2600 meters. At that time, snowflakes were still falling on the mountain, and the apricot blossoms were officially blooming brilliantly. We renovated the remote control system of the Sandaowan Dam's normal spillway, emergency spillway, and flood discharge and sediment discharge tunnel gates, as well as installed 6 kilometers of remote fiber optic cables. In order to ensure the normal operation of the gate before the flood season, we worked overtime to complete the project perfectly within the planned schedule.

When the apricots mature, our remote control technology transformation of the gate and the opening system transformation of the sand discharge tunnel are successfully completed, which also verifies the fruitful results of our micro special personnel.
