According to the report of Singapore's Lianhe Zaobao on October 29, a surprise operation of the Ministry of manpower of Singapore, which lasted more than two months, ended on October 29. More than half of the 90 companies inspected by the Ministry of human resources were fined for safety problems and safety negligence, and two of them had to stop work because of serious safety problems.

It is reported that the occupational safety and Health Department of the Ministry of manpower of Singapore launched a surprise operation from mid July to the end of September this year, focusing on the safety of cranes and operation methods. During the surprise operation, more than 100 safety problems were found, of which 61 companies failed to comply with safety regulations were fined. The two companies, on the other hand, have been ordered to stop work because of their negligence which may endanger the safety of workers due to more serious problems.

According to the report, the authorities have found 47 safety problems related to the failure to maintain the crane parts to ensure good functions, including the bent or worn ropes and the damage of steering wheel parts. The other 42 items are aimed at failing to have or wrongly implementing the lifting plan. The company has not clearly listed the details of the objects and weights that the crane needs to lift, and recording the weights can allow the operator to arrange work safely and avoid the weight load of the crane. In addition, the lifting gear is damaged or there are 28 safety omissions in using the lifting gear that fails the test.

Crane inspection is part of the regular safety inspection of the Ministry of human resources. He Huaji, senior vice minister of the Ministry of human resources and the Ministry of education, called on the operators to take work safety seriously at a crane safety seminar.
