The gate crane is often used to lift and lower the gate during the unit maintenance or flood control of hydropower station. At present, most gantry cranes in hydropower stations use hydraulic grabbing beams. The grabbing beams work in the environment of more than 10 to 100 meters underwater, and the working conditions are complex. Various uncertain factors make the underwater hoist gate in a state that can not be completely controlled. In view of the pain point of this industry, Weite has independently developed WTDC type underwater high-definition digital camera to realize the observation of grabbing beam conditions in deep water.

1. Long signal transmission distance and stable communication


Weite WTDC underwater high-definition digital camera adopts digital signal movement, with strong anti-interference ability, matching with special transmitter, and the transmission distance can reach 300 meters. And only two cables are required for transmission to transmit the video signal to the cab console. Multiple cameras can share signal lines, which is particularly convenient for construction and installation.


2. Remote network upgrade and remote maintenance


Weite WTDC underwater HD digital camera can customize IP address on site, and can be seamlessly connected to the original video system. It does not need to be troubled by complicated debugging, and can easily connect the camera to the local area network, and can realize remote upgrade and remote maintenance.


3. HD image


Weite WTDC underwater high-definition digital camera adopts multiple LED lights, independent power supply and full-automatic focusing function, making it more convenient to use. 3、 System application


Visual integrated monitoring system for hydraulic grabbing beam


In the actual operation process of lifting and lowering the gate with the grabbing beam, when the grabbing beam is launched, the driver completely depends on the opening, load and the signal of the in place detection device to judge, and then the driver controls the operation; However, in the actual process, there are inconsistencies in the judgment of stoplog gate height, inconsistencies in the display of grabbing beam switching dead weight, and positioning signal judgment errors.

Our company specially developed the hydraulic grab beam visual integrated monitoring system according to the needs of market customers through real-time dynamic data and underwater visual video (after monitoring the normal alignment of the grab beam and the gate, connect the pin and the gate, and lift the gate after confirming that the grab beam pin is in place under the data visualization), so as to ensure that the hydraulic grab beam can safely and reliably lift the gate during the maintenance of the unit or cleaning.

4、 Application case


The Weite WTDC network underwater monitoring system was first tested and applied in Geheyan power plant of Qingjiang River in 2014. After several years of design iteration and continuous improvement and upgrading of technology, the system has been mature and stable. It has been successfully applied to more than 50 large and medium-sized hydropower stations in China, including Gezhouba, Nuozhadu, Gongguoqiao, Longyangxia, Laxiwa, Xiangjiaba, Jinping I, Baozhusi, Zipingpu, Wuqiangxi, Lingjintan, and small Three Gorges.

At about 14:00 on April 26, 2019, the lifting operation group of the draft tube bulkhead gate of unit 6 of the lifting metal structure division of Xiangjiaba power plant was preparing to fill the horizontal pressure of the draft tube elbow according to the maintenance plan, when the trolley driver heard an extremely excited voice through the interphone: "I saw a big fish in the picture from the underwater probe of the hydraulic grab beam!"

Behind this surprise discovery is the installation of WTDC network underwater monitoring system. In December 2018, after the intensive and meticulous work of micro and special engineers, the installation and underwater joint commissioning of the underwater monitoring system of the tailrace trolley of Xiangjiaba power plant were successfully completed, which successfully passed the third level acceptance of the owner, and the project reached excellent. The big fish in the monitoring picture of the cab is the data from the WTDC underwater camera. Later, the experts of the fishery release station confirmed on the spot that the big fish that appeared in the underwater probe was the national first-class protected animal "Yangtze River sturgeon". Moreover, there were seven "Yangtze River sturgeons" in the space of less than 20 square meters in the No. 6 draft tube of Xiangjiaba power plant, which was rare. It also witnessed the good effect of the state in protecting water resources and the environment.
