At about 9:40 on August 10, a major lifting injury accident occurred in the North Branch of ferroalloy plant of Hanzhong Shaanxi Zhongtai Group Co., Ltd. during equipment maintenance, resulting in 4 deaths and 4 injuries. The provincial safety committee office has supervised the investigation and handling of the accident.

In order to deeply learn from the accident, the Provincial Safety Supervision Bureau requires that the safety production work of metallurgical enterprises should be effectively strengthened, and the metallurgical enterprises should be inspected one by one to urge the enterprises to conscientiously implement the main responsibility of safety production and strengthen the safety production management. For enterprises that do not meet the safety production conditions or have major safety hazards, those that should be shut down should be shut down, and those that should be rectified should be ordered to rectify, so as to reduce the occurrence of major accidents.
