On the morning of May 8, 2020, the 130m piling boat "Sanhang pile 20" built by China Merchants heavy industry (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. for CCCC third Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. held a delivery ceremony at the Mazhou island base of China Merchants Industry, marking the official birth of the world's largest piling boat. Sanhang pile 20 was designed by Shanghai Jiahao marine engineering research and Design Co., Ltd. and commenced construction on Mazhou island on December 18, 2018. It is 108 meters long, 38 meters wide and 7.2 meters deep. It is equipped with 2 sets of 1760kw driven hydraulic oil pump sets, 2 sets of 450 ton main pile lifting pulley sets and 1 set of 300 ton auxiliary pile lifting pulley sets. The pile frame height is 128 meters. The pile driving operation can adapt to the operation capacity of the maximum pile diameter of 5 meters and the maximum pile weight of 450 tons. It is also equipped with a GPS positioning system and a four corner draft system with accuracy of CM, which can accurately position the pile driving. The lifting capacity of the main hook is 450 tons, the height of the pile frame is 133 meters, and the maximum lifting capacity of the pile frame is 700 tons. It can adapt to all offshore areas and underwater piling of 50 meters, and can meet the requirements of pile length of 105m + water depth and diameter Φ 5000mm construction demand, which is the largest and highest pile driver in the world so far.

The ship adopts mature hydraulic driving mode to provide power source for the three main systems of the whole ship - ship moving winch operation system, pile lifting operation system and luffing system. Ihc-s800 hydraulic hammer, which is the most advanced and independent hydraulic system in the market, is adopted for the piling hammer. The cooling system of the whole ship adopts the internal circulation mode of non seawater direct contact.

With the joint efforts of CCCC third Harbor Bureau, China Classification Society and China Merchants heavy industry (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., the project team has carefully designed and scientifically organized, overcome the great impact of the epidemic on the project production, equipment procurement and commissioning, and successfully shortened the half year construction cycle and delivered in advance.

The successful delivery of the project will add new heavy equipment to the offshore construction equipment of CCCC Third Navigation Bureau, greatly enhance the voice in the offshore construction field, including offshore wind power, and further highlight the brand strength of the Third Navigation Bureau. It adds another sharp weapon to the development of marine resources and the development of offshore engineering projects in China.

As Sanhang pile driving barge 20 is the newly built world's largest pile driving barge, the relevant installation and commissioning specifications are strictly controlled, and the technical requirements are high. Moreover, the on-site installation personnel need to climb the top of the boom of the 130m pile driving barge to install the weight sensor and hook head limit, which makes the installation difficult.
